The GEORES webgis is a tool to help scientists and end users to visualize results from the GEORES project.
Through an intuitive webgis interface, it allows visualizing interactively synchronized maps (canvas) of the 4 targets hazard maps, all the input predictors layers, the hazard maps obtained through application of the Random Forest supervised classification algorithm, and finally the SHAP values associated with each predictor.
SHAP values explain how much each predictor contributes to a machine learning model's prediction for a specific instance.
Each canvas can be controlled in showing several maps of each category, overlapped and visible through transparency sliders.

Your personal data is processed for the following purposes:
Purpose: To enable your registration, account management, access to the Geores WebGIS platform, visualization of risk maps, and download of scientific geospatial data produced by the project.
Legal basis: Performance of pre-contractual and contractual measures adopted at your request (Art. 6, par. 1, lett. b) of GDPR), as registration is functional to the use of the platform and download services.
Purpose: To analyze usage patterns of the platform, improve the quality of geospatial risk assessment tools, and support the scientific objectives of the Geores project funded by ASI (Italian Space Agency).
Legal basis: Legitimate interest of the Controller (Art. 6, par. 1, lett. f) of GDPR) to advance scientific research in the field of geospatial risk assessment and to fulfill the research objectives of the publicly funded project.
Purpose: To ensure proper website and WebGIS platform functioning, system security, and to ascertain responsibilities in case of hypothetical computer crimes against the site or misuse of the scientific data.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest of the Controller (Art. 6, par. 1, lett. f) of GDPR) to ensure the security and operability of its systems and protect the integrity of scientific data.
5. Processing Methods
All protective measures indicated by personal data protection legislation and applicable regulations are implemented. In particular, your data will be processed exclusively by the Controller, the scientific manager, and/or authorized subjects within the framework of the Geores project implementation exclusively to enable the performance of the aforementioned purposes and all related operations and connected activities.
Data processing occurs through computer and telematic tools, with logic strictly related to the purposes themselves and, in any case, in a way that guarantees data security and confidentiality.
